Applying for School Places

For Lancashire resident families who will require a primary or secondary place in September 2027 the means of application is via Lancashire’s online system at: www.lancashire.gov.uk/schools

Applications for admission to the school for September 2027 should be made on-line between 1st September 2026 and 15th January 2027. It is not normally possible to change the order of your preferences for schools after the closing date.

Lancashire’s online system provides information about admission arrangements to all Lancashire Schools. This will go live from September 2026.
It is quick and easy to use and offers an email receipt of all submitted applications.

For Primary Admissions
You must apply if your child has a 4th birthday between 1st September 2026 and 31st August 2027.

You must apply even if an older brother or sister is already at the school, or the school is linked to your child’s nursery.

If you’re a non-Lancashire resident apply through your own local authority.

 The closing dates for applications for September 2027 are at 11-59 pm on:

• Secondary school applications – 31 October 2025
• Primary school applications – 15 January 2026

For Secondary Admissions
You must apply if your child is in their last year of primary school (Year 6) from September 2026

You must apply even if an older brother or sister is already at the school, or the school is linked to your child’s nursery.

If you’re a non-Lancashire resident apply through your own local authority.

Please read the admission criteria for your chosen schools on the website or get a copy from them.

If your child is starting school in September 2027 and you would like to have a tour of the school, we have 4 available dates as follows:

• Wednesday 21st October at 10am
• Monday 9th November at 2pm
• Wednesday 18th November at 3.45pm
• Friday 27th November at 9.30am
