Dear Parents and Carers,

It is my great privilege to welcome you to Singleton Church of England Primary School.

Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a family, and I hope this introduction gives you a sense of the caring, nurturing and inspiring community that makes Singleton such a special place.

At the heart of our school is our Christian faith. Guided by the love and teachings of Christ, we strive to create a community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. Our Christian values are not simply displayed on our walls; they are lived out in our relationships, our learning and the way we care for one another every day.

Singleton Church of England Primary School is much more than a place of education. We are a school family. We believe that every child is unique, created with their own gifts, talents and potential. Our role is to nurture those gifts, inspire confidence and develop a love of learning that will stay with children throughout their lives.

We have high aspirations for all our pupils and are committed to helping every child achieve their very best academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Through high-quality teaching, a broad and engaging curriculum, and a wide range of enrichment opportunities, we encourage children to be ambitious, resilient and curious about the world around them.

Reading, writing and mathematics form strong foundations within our curriculum, but we also believe that education should unlock creativity, imagination and personal growth. Whether children are performing on stage, competing in sport, exploring our outdoor learning environment, taking part in Forest School, developing leadership skills or discovering a new talent, we want every child to experience success and develop confidence in who they are.

One of the things visitors often comment on is the warm and welcoming atmosphere within our school. We are proud of the strong relationships that exist between children, staff, governors, parents, the Church and the wider community. By working together, we ensure that children feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

We are fortunate to be part of a vibrant church community, and our close links with the Church enrich school life in many meaningful ways. Through collective worship, reflection and opportunities to serve others, we help children develop compassion, respect and an understanding of their role in making a positive difference in the world.

As Headteacher, I feel incredibly proud to lead such a wonderful school. Every day, I am inspired by the enthusiasm of our children, the dedication of our staff and the support of our families. Together, we are committed to providing an environment where children are happy, challenged and able to flourish in all that they do.
