Welcome to FOSS
Dear Parents,
On behalf of all the children, families and wider school community, we are so pleased to welcome you to ‘FOSS’, the Friends of Singleton School.
Everyone connected with our wonderful school is automatically a member of FOSS, which raises money throughout the year to buy exciting new play and learning equipment for our children.

FOSS’ aim is to enrich our pupil’s learning experiences; some examples of what FOSS have raised funds for:
- A wooden trim trail in the school playground
- Outdoor gym equipment next to the school field
- New iPads for the children to use in classrooms
- An outdoor canopy for the Foundation classroom
- New reading books and refurbishment for the school library
- Lego Technic sets for design and technology
- Interactive whiteboards in each classroom
We have raised the money needed for these projects by arranging a variety of fundraising activities such as:- mad hair days, non-uniforms days, school fairs, bake-offs and cake sales, selling school tea towels, magical discos and much more.
We are always so grateful for the support we receive, whether it’s: baking a cake, running the hook-a-duck stall, donating raffle prizes or simply turning up to support us at our events, we want you on our small team.
Want to get involved?
We enjoy welcoming new members to our friendly team of active volunteers and trustees; help is always needed to coordinate upcoming events. We have a few social meetings along the way to allow us to share ideas and plan ahead.
