School Uniform

It is important for our children to take pride in their appearance and feel a strong sense of belonging within our school community. We ask that children have appropriate hairstyles, and if they have long hair, it should be tied back for school.

Please ensure that ALL items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.

Seasonal Clothing Requirements

During the winter months, all children are expected to bring an appropriate coat to school to wear during outdoor play sessions. This aligns with Lancashire Safeguarding recommendations, which specifically state that children must have adequate clothing.

Children will not be allowed outside to play without a suitable coat, and a Safeguarding Lead will contact parents if necessary.

PE Kit

Children should wear their PE kit to school on the day they have their PE lesson. We no longer require kits to be kept in school.

  • Summer: Red shorts
  • Winter: Black leggings or plain, unbranded tracksuit bottoms/joggers
  • White polo shirt
  • School hoodie (winter)
  • Black pumps (KS1)
  • Trainers (KS2)
  • Red hoodie (logo hoodie available) – for winter months

Uniform Availability

Uniforms with the school logo are available from Poulton Sport and Trophy Shop. However, pupils may wear plain, unbranded clothing in the correct colours as a more affordable alternative (e.g., a plain red jumper, plain white T-shirt, plain black leggings, etc.).

Jewellery

Lancashire guidelines state that no jewellery or watches can be worn during PE. In our school, we allow a watch and stud earrings. However, children must be able to remove their earrings themselves for PE. If a child cannot remove their own earrings, parents should ensure that their child does not wear earrings to school on PE days.
